I was trying to decide if I wanted to make a ranger or an elementalist first ...this I think may have made up my mind. I love how in the end fight she was able to get up above the mobs and shoot them as they ran in ....while sending her pet downstairs to fight....then she jumped down behind them and shot the group from behind. Now I need to find an equally cool elementalist video so I can compare the two. ;D
Well alrighty then, here's a decent ele one. In this one I noticed not so much the ele skills...but also the general skills. The self healing and the in combat rezzing looks great. I really like that they went away from needing a "healer" class. That's too much burden on a player. (how many times did my monk want to say...go heal your own *!$% self when they would say...MONK do this, MONK do that. argh.
Self heals ftw!
Unfortunately, I found myself watching the rangers showing up in the fights more than the ele.
Now this one shows me a bit more interesting ele play...although it is more about the game than a class.
I like how there are levels of participation. So you get a reward for participating in the event and your reward is based on your participation level. How cool is that!?
Also, I forgot to mention earlier....not only can you rez other players but you can rez the rangers pets. Now that I love. My pet goes down and I can keep fighting while an ele or someone else rezes it.
This one does a good job of showing some of how the skills work. I skills on the left are based on what weapon you have. They automatically change if you change weapons. I see how this would be useful and would encourage you to use different types of weapons.
The skills on the right are apparently ones you select from a group. The are character based instead of weapon based.
I'm wondering. Does this mean that all skills are available to anyone holding a ? And all sword skills are based on holding the sword not being say...a warrior? It looks like that might be the case. Interesting concept.
